‘Cherry Blossom’ is an understated gem which maintains a soothing and uplifting mood - building and gathering energy throughout the track. The duo blur the lines between acoustic and electronic elements with an eastern influenced, lofi boom bap groove that transforms into double time broken beats for a drum and bass-tinged finale.

Inspired by the idea of seeing the famous Japanese seasonal blossom bloom for the first time, there is a definite ‘Samurai Champloo’ era Nujabes feel to the first half of the track. The two producers combine deep, resonant sub-bass with fragmented beats, manipulated vocal samples, guitar layering, and vibrant percussive sounds. The result is an evocative and modern piece that keeps surprising throughout its progressive arrangement.
