Celebrated electronic producers Frameworks and Murge team up to deliver a conceptual collaborative EP. Birthed from a shared passion of DJ/Dance culture, the duo present two tracks inspired by their own relationships within club scenes. Written and produced as a direct response to last year’s lockdown, this collaboration serves as reminder of how important venues are to our culture and growth. The release has a distinctive sound, fusing signature elements from both producers, and leans toward dance floor centric theme.
Alongside the digital release of ‘Cusp’, a special limited edition split single 12” vinyl will also be released. 100% of the net profits from the vinyl will be donated to NIVA (National Independent Venue Association) as well as some other donation points that support live music, music venue employees, and touring crew members.
“During our time in lockdown myself and Murge spoke often of how we missed being in clubs, we wanted to create something in that moment that would serve as a reminder of how fortunate we are to have these spaces to both perform and enjoy” – Frameworks.
“‘Cusp’ and ‘Journals’ are the culmination of many late-night conversations and studio sessions shared back and forth online between Frameworks and I. A tribute to the club nights and venues that influenced and shaped our careers and sound.” – Murge
